Pilgrims at Najm ad-Din al-Kubra shrine

These women had come from all over the country to pray at the shrine of the Sufi saint Najm ad-Din al-Kubra. They were not allowed in to the shrine itself for reasons which were unclear. But undeterred, they walked three times under the branch of a tree bent by the wind to sit on one of the graves, which is supposed to bring luck, and did the requiste perambulations of the mausoleum. They were very happy to see foreigners at the site of 'their' saint.
