Temple of Jupiter


Iconic columns - 6 that remain out of a total of 54. The temple complex consisted of the massive propyleum, the Hexagonal court, the Grand Courtyard and the temple itself which is 88 x 48 meters and sits on a podium 7 meters above the level of the courtyard and 13 meters from the rest of the surroundings. The entablature is sculpted with lions' heads, bulls and garlands.
