Seljuk entrance Hakim Mosque

Seljuk entrance Hakim Mosque

The intricate brickwork of the Jorjir portal is an exceptional example of 10th century architectural detail in Isfahan. Although the mosque was built in 1655, it was built over an original 10th century Buyid structure, of which the Jorjir portal is one of but a few remnants. (The Buyids were a local Iranian dynasty.)
