I need money and publicity. It's that simple, money to pay for all the travel expenses and to run and promote the website and the mission, I also need publicity because this is about more than my personal voyage of discovery, the east and the west can surely benefit from a little knowledge and understanding, a little common ground and little more interaction. So please write about the trip, tell you friends, tell you neighbors, tell that guy you met on the train who works for the Times.

The Mission
Using the journey of a 14th century Moroccan who traveled throughout
the entire Islamic world of his time as the inspiration and starting
point, Carolyn will set out alone through the Islamic world of the
21st century. Meeting and talking to people who live there and using
each region's history, culture, art, architecture, food, music, and
traditions, she will emphasize the commonality we share as humans
regardless of race, color or religion. She will present an honest and
insightful look at the lives and role(s) of women and will establish
herself as a source of information for those wishing to learn more
about the region.
